The NINE MINIMUM CONTROLS
are technology-based actions or measures designed to reduce Combined Sewer
Overflows and their effects on receiving water quality.

NMC 1 - Proper Operation and Regular
Maintenance Programs for the Sewer System and CSO Outfalls
NMC 2 - Maximum Use of Collection System for Storage
NMC 3 - Review and Modification of
Pretreatment Requirements to Ensure that CSO Impacts are Minimized

Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) for Treatment
